PERSONAL CULINARY TRAINING & MORE COMING TO
LAKEWOOD RANCH GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club Executive Chef Paul Evans is taking the club’s offerings to the next level: The certified executive chef is also a certified personal trainer and has started offering private training sessions in both areas to clients. “We are so proud to be able to offer such a unique amenity to our members,” said Country Club general manager Wayne Piazza. “Chef Paul is so talented and we have already had great feedback about people being able to improve their health and cooking skills in one place with one person. It’s one-stop shopping!”
Evans underwent his own extreme makeover during the past 14 months (see before and after photos in the video) and is now a professional body builder as well as a personal trainer. He will be taking on personal training clients at the Lakewood Ranch Athletic Center and will teach personal culinary instruction in the convenience of clients’ homes. “People are always asking me for cooking tips,” said Evans, “and I am really excited to now be able to bridge the gap between exercise and healthy eating.” Evans will offer complimentary consultation sessions.
Other enhancements and improvements will take place during the Club’s annual two week limited summer shutdown period from Friday, July 1 through Monday, July 18.
This off season time will allow the club to begin and complete a number of projects including expanding and improving the very popular member’s lounge to make more space for additional patrons, and asphalt sealing and striping of all of the parking lots to include the tennis, fitness and Country Club.
The Country Club will be painted and new fans will be installed on the back patio, and carpet and doors will be installed in the banquet rooms.
To ensure higher energy efficiency levels, a new heat recovery system and generator will be installed.
At the Athletic Center, the tennis men’s and ladies’ locker rooms will be renovated, as will the locker room in the gym; pickle ball courts will be installed, and all new furniture will be placed at the two Athletic Center pools, along with new shade structures.
“We are spending upwards of a quarter million dollars on these improvements as a commitment to our members, who have helped make us so successful. Our membership continues to grow every day helping to make us the most successful country club in this region,” Piazza said.
Located in the heart of the growing community of Lakewood Ranch,FL the Country Club features a 45,000 foot clubhouse, three 18- hole golf courses and the tennis and 24 hour athletic center which includes 18 clay tennis courts.
