BOO FEST experience is scheduled for Friday, October 26th from 6 to 9 pm on Main Street. Community Activities is pleased to offer this popular and distinctive event for the 7th year running. Local volunteers will transform LWR Main Street into an unforgettable sight of scarecrows, haunted houses, graveyards and lots of shady and unusual looking characters. We encourage all to dress in costume and safely trick or treat among the merchants and sponsors. Children’s groups are invited to register and join our community parade which starts down Main Street at 6:30pm. Another fun way to participate is by entering a scarecrow to be displayed and judged the night of the event. Great prizes will be awarded for the top 3 and for all that enter. This hair-raising affair will amuse all ages. Many will courageously make their way through the frightfully Haunted House, or walk through the ghostly graveyard of ghouls. Be sure to stop by and meet Edgar who will create moments of spine-chilling anxiety at the Touchy Feely tables. Enjoy one of the suspenseful Ghost Stories which will linger long into the night. BOO Fest is guaranteed to be a bushel of fall fun! Children can highlight their costumes with a face painting or air brush tattoo. Enjoy the scarecrows and take memorable pictures from the many photo op settings. Plenty of great food and refreshments will be offered by the local restaurants and vendors. Prepare now by creating a character, put on the costume and bring your family, friends, neighbors and date to Main Street to enjoy the festive tricks of the night along with the rewarding sweets and treats of the season. Registration forms for the parade and scarecrow contest are listed below. For more great Lakewood Ranch events visit www.lwrcac.com.
