Public Schools

Three of the county's best public schools are within walking distance of Lakewood Ranch. A special thoroughfare meanders through tall pines to provide children with convenient access to Braden River Elementary and Braden River Middle Schools. Lakewood Ranch High School opened in 1998 as the first dedicated high school built in Manatee County. This state-of-the-art facility has become a landmark school and model for schools to come. As Lakewood Ranch grows, so will the educational opportunities we're prepared to offer our children because land has already been set aside for future public schools when the need arises.
